About Jeff McMahon
1987: I was attending college at Baylor University. I played in a band, ate in an all-night diner, caught a run every so often and became great friends with some of my fraternity brothers.
2011: I still play in a band, still eat in all-night diners, I run a lot more and drive an endurance program with a great friend that was one of my fraternity brothers.
THE LONG VERSION
As 2011 begins, I am on the road for my eighteenth year with Tim McGraw on the “Emotional Traffic” tour. My job, should you choose to call it that, is to saddle up and ride alongside country superstar McGraw as his longtime keyboardist and vocalist. Our latest single titled “Felt Good On My Lips” is McGraw’s 32nd song to take the top spot on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, and Billboard magazine named Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors the #1 country touring act of 2010.
I know…it doesn’t seem like a job to me, either.
I have served as a member of the board for the Tug McGraw Foundation since 2006, and as national director for program development, I steer Team McGraw – an endurance sports training program supporting the Foundation’s mission to fund projects that raise awareness and improve the quality of life for children and adults affected by debilitating neuroscience conditions such as brain tumors, post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury.
I am a piano player, marathoner, snow skier, singer, duck hunter, triathlete, skeet shooter, snowboarder…but when it gets down to it…
I just keep movin’. So whatcha got? I just might be up for it.

I have yet to see dust settle under your feet. Cobwebs maybe. But no dust.
Keep on keepin’ on, bud!

You know I am always behind you and enjoy reading your blogs, posts, etc. You are someone who is a person that I can honestly say is very admirable. You never stop doing the things that you enjoy and you use those avenues to help others, and I like that quality about you. Keep going as strong as you are and see you on the road this year somewhere. For sure in California, but you know me – I love traveling, so who knows what other state I might pop up in!
